Supporting Children and Young People
SupportLine provides emotional support, advice and information to children and young people throughout the UK through our telephone helpline, email and postal support.
The service helps those who are vulnerable, isolated and at risk. We support young people on many issues which includes child abuse, bullying, eating disorders, self harm, family and personal relationships, bereavement, domestic violence, anxiety and depression. We help young people to increase their self esteem and confidence and to recognize and focus on their strengths and abilities to enable them to be able to cope more easily with difficulties they may face in their lives. Feedback has shown that our service really can make a difference to young people's lives.
We were delighted when the Barbara Ward Children's Foundation awarded us a grant of £12,000 over the next three years. This help is invaluable to us and we cannot thank the Foundation enough for supporting our work in this way.
