Honeypot is a charity which provides, amongst other things, holiday breaks for deprived children with little or no other opportunity for a holiday. At the Honeypot House, in the New Forest, these children get to see a little of the sort of life that so many children take for granted.
The children have to be collected from all over the country as they do not come from the sort of background where there is family transport. And this has necessitated Honeypot needing a larger minibus in order to fully utilise the potential of the house. The BWCF has now financed a new minibus as you can see from the photograph.
The handover took place during a recent visit to the New Forest where some young children, all of whom were carers in their families, were having a week of fun, swimming, enjoying the lovely grounds of the house, visiting local beauty spots and generally 'being children'. All of the projects we at the BWCF have been involved in have been worthwhile in every way; this one has given all of us who have visited Honeypot a lot of special pleasure. There is so much more to do for these children and we are looking forward to that opportunity.
