The Children's Adventure Farm Trust

The Children's Adventure Farm Trust was founded in 1985 in order to provide holidays for children who are chronically sick, disabled or disadvantaged. Based in a 17th century farmhouse in the Cheshire countryside they are able to have children stay in a safe and secure environment, with the comfort of knowing that their carers will be with them at all times.

The Children's Adventure Farm Trust were over the moon to receive a grant of £4,000 from The Barbara Ward Children's Foundation in May 2005. It arrived just in time for the beginning of their Free Holiday Programme and was soon put to excellent use! This year they were able to offer 24 weeks of free holidays at the Adventure Farm to children in desperate need - resulting in a staggering figure of over 360 disadvantaged children!

During their week long stay at CAFT the children take part in a fun-filled programme of activities, including arts & crafts, music, sports & games, multi-sensory equipment, nature trail, archery, assault course - to name but a few! For these children a holiday is not a luxury, but a vital break away from a life most of us would find intolerable. By giving them a week of freedom, love and excitement, CAFT has given them a glimpse of a better world, unlocking the possibilities their futures could hold. Thanks to the support of BWCF, 10 very deserving children were given this wonderful opportunity in 2005.
